Birdwatching walk at Diyasaru Uyana in Mount Lavinia

Diyasaru Park is a 60-acre urban wetland park located in the Thalawathugoda area of Sri Jayawardenepura, Colombo District, Sri Lanka. It comprises a range of wetland habitats such as marshes, flooded woodlands, lakes, and ponds.

Experience:

You will be picked up from your hotel in Mount Lavinia early in the morning at 6:00 AM. Your chauffeur will take you on a 30-minute drive to Diyasaru Uyana. There, you will meet your naturalist guide and begin a short walk along nature trails, observing water birds, forest birds, butterflies, small mammals, and other wildlife. You will return to your hotel by late morning.

Notes:

Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy hiking shoes suitable for muddy terrain. A wide-brimmed hat or cap is recommended for sun protection.
